| Speaking of merit and virtue signaling, in not-so-shocking news last week, Stephen Breyer, a Justice of the Supreme Court, announced he was retiring. Justice Breyer had been contemplating retirement for some time, but news of his plan was leaked. Activists piled on calling for him to step down, giving President Biden a chance to make an appointment to the Court before the midterm elections. We know President Biden prides himself on his diversity hiring, this time saying he’ll appoint the most qualified person, who he knows for sure is going to be a black woman. |
