Mad readers already know that we are big fans of homeschooling and think that even without the woke agenda taking over public education, the benefit of learning in the home from a parent is invaluable. However, in The Federalist, Katy Faust acknowledged that sometimes it’s just not that easy to remove your kids from the education system. She writes that if your children attend public schools, you do need to take the task of combatting the zeitgeist very seriously.

She offers some ideas on that subject and also reminds parents to not doubt the importance of engaging with their children. Faust reminds parents of the admonition to Israel in Deuteronomy 6: “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.” So take heart. Your eyes are open to the battle – pray for wisdom, make a plan and fight!
