A True Scot

A true Scot has many admirable qualities: among them courage, fierce independence, and a very dignified form of crazy.

In fact, if the lying, thieving, usurious Yankees had not overthrown King James II in the “Glorious Revolution,” Scotland would have become the enlightenment’s counterpoint to Japan, and the sun may never have set on a Empire rallied by bagpipes!

I do think it is indisputable that England ruled the world on the cruciform back of the shared narrative that the King James Bible brought to the formerly disparate and tribal Anglo peoples.

This is why making the Psalms and Proverbs part of your daily life of devotion is so essential to our survival as God’s people. It is always the case, but in these latter days all the more.
