BHoP#057 Off Limits Thoughts and Where to Find Them

Dr Koontz and Rev Fisk spend this second episode on the collapse of empires discussing post-World War I Germany and the Hitler's rise to power in the wake of the economic devastation imposed on Germany by the victors, and the consequential necessity of creating limits on the thinking of the populace to secure his position. Dr Koontz sees some parallels with America today in the form of unchecked economic inflation, rapid social and moral change, as well as the saturation of media.

Dr Koontz - Agrarian, Egghead -  Concordia Theological Seminary Fort Wayne

Rev Fisk - Author, Fanatic - St Paul Rockford

A Brief History of Power
Every week Dr. Adam Koontz and Rev. Jonathan Fisk check their privilege against the backdrop of the wide and varied annals of history. You don‘t have to believe the Babel about the sons of Noah being a rosetta for understanding the postmodern global politic to agree that an intellectual dark web exists because history always rhymes, no matter what you try to do about it. You might not save the world by listening, citizen, but that doesn‘t mean you won‘t save someone. Because knowing is only the first half of the battle.
